Ashurst Caravan Park and Campsite

Located on the south-western edge of Ashurst village, the Camping In The Forest’ run Ashurst Caravan Park and Campsite is one of their most fully equipped New Forest sites.

The shops and pubs of Ashurst are just a few minutes walk from the site entrance, and the New Forest Hotel is just the other side of the railway line that runs adjacent to the campsite. The Ashurst (formerly Lyndhurst Road) station provides good opportunities for train travel around the area, the line connects to Brockenhurst a few miles to the southwest.

In the opposite direction from Ashurst village, Lyndhurst, unofficial capital of the New Forest, is just a couple of miles away and is a must-visit place during your stay. If you can, take in the New Forest Museum located in Lyndhurst car park.

The Ashurst Caravan Park and Campsite fronts a small area of woodland, Ashurst Wood, which in turn opens onto Matley Heath, an expanse of New Forest heathland criss-crossed with tracks ideal for walking and cycling (where permitted). However, it’s important to note that dogs are not permitted on this particular New Forest campsite.

Campsite facilities: 280 standard pitches, seasonal pitches available, payphone, disabled facilities, toilets and showers, laundrette, recycling bins, no dogs.
The site is open 29th March until 1st October.
