Overview

Longdown Activity Farm
New Forest Bog

Located near the eastern boundary of the New Forest National Park, Longdown Activity Farm is a great place to take the kids for a half or full day of farmyard fun!

Formerly a working dairy farm, Longdown has been run as an activity farm for several years now and continues to be a popular attraction within the New Forest National Park. It’s very conveniently situated, just a few hundred metres off the main A35 road that runs from Southampton to Lyndhurst, the heart of the New Forest.

There is a good list of things to do to keep the kids (and adults!) happy, with scheduled events taking place throughout the day.
Animal feeding is always a thrill for children, and at Longdown Activity Farm there are opportunities to feed calves and goat kids (at the right time of year, of course!) as well as adult goats, ducks, chickens and pigs – always entertaining to see!
A large shed houses numerous rabbits and guinea pigs, and there are horses and turkeys to see elsewhere on the farm.

Longdown Activity Farm Ducks

Non animal-based things to see and do include ride-on pedal tractors and go-karts for the kids and a couple of indoor play areas, as well as trampolines and a good sized outdoor adventure playground.
A bumpy tractor ride around the field is good fun too!
